Dylan Maree Hart

Just an FYI for any blog followers.....We had a seet little baby girl on November 22 at around 2:40 in the afternoon. I was scheduled for my C- Section on December 1 but she decided she just couldn't wait. Mom and baby are doing wonderful, but due to some computer problems pictures are still to come. Oh yeah, we named her Dylan Maree.

Favorite time of the year....

Seriously, I love this time of year. The weather is perfect and there are so many fun things to do, especially with the kids. We went with Ammons school on a field trip to a place called Black Island Farms and they had an absolute blast!!! We got to go on a hay ride and go to the pumpkin patch where all the kids got to pick out there own pumpkins. They had baby animals to look at and feed, huge slides to go down, and other rides and places to play. We carved pumpkins, and realized after I threw them out this morning, that I never did get pictures, but the kids had a blast and it has become quite a fun tradition in our family. Halloween was also lots of fun...Ammon had a Halloween party at his school and then we went over to Andrews parents for the traditional hot dogs and chili for dinner. Andrew took the kids trick or treating until it started raining, and I got to enjoy some time to myself at home while passing out candy to the few people who came knocking at our door. Ammon was Fireman Sam, (from PBS kids Sprout) and Abigail was Tinkerbell! Such fun memories.

Date Night!

Thursday night was a rare occasion where Andrew and I got to go on a date! This doesn't happen very often because of Andrews work schedule along with school. Not only was it a blast, but it was an unusual date that not very many can say they have done! For starters we went out to eat at a place called Pats BBQ in Salt Lake City. Sounds fairly normal I know, but it is a very unique place that Andrew just LOVES!!! In order to get there you have to drive passed a burnt down house and then into somewhat of a ghetto and the building looks like an old auto body garage on the outside!

They have picnic tables to sit on, inside and out. Nothing formal by any means. You eat off paper plates, using plastic utensils, and have paper towels as napkins.

This is where you go if you would like a drink of water with your meal. AWESOME!!!

Then after dinner, we attended an exhibit called Body Worlds.... let the pictures explain....

Yes those are real cadavers, and the exhibit existed of multiple and also actual body parts that you could see. I loved it and it was an experience, and date night, that I will never forget!!!

First Day of School!

Ammon has been so excited to start school again since I went and registered him back in July! He has the same teacher this year which is a REALLY good thing. He is attending the Terrace School of Music, and so along with their academic curriculum, they also incorporate music into most of their teaching as well. He will get to get acquainted with all sorts of musical instruments, get to use their computers, and learn new songs that go with what they are learning each couple of weeks! He is LOVING it and it gives me some time to just be with Abbey. I love this time of year.

Our Baby!

A little over a week ago, I got to go to my doctor and have my 3D ultrasound of the baby! I am getting so excited so I thought we could share with everyone.

The baby,(gender still unknown) actually has the same nose as Ammon.

At my appointment today the baby weighs approximately 1 1/2 pounds and my official due date is still the first part of December.

Memories

I thought this would be fun since everyone else is doing it.....

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

What we've been up to....

Well, I figure I am doing pretty good if I post once a month! I hope friends don't give up on checking in on what we've been up to. We have had such a good summer so far. It has been fun to spend literally ALL day outside and the kids never run out of things to do. We have been busy riding bikes and trucks, swimming, going to the park and Andrew and I have been busy with our yard and garden, which is doing very well!. For the 3rd of July, we went and had a BBQ with my family and then went and watched the Utah State fireworks. And then on the 4th we spent it with Andrew's family with a BBQ, swimming and our own fireworks. Things sure are a lot more fun with kids around! Enjoy a few pics of some of these things.

I'm Back!!!

I realize that it has been a while since I have posted anything, so hopefully this post will make up for it. There is a lot to catch up on and say, so bear with me..... Shortly after moving, we found out that we were expecting our third child! We are very excited and although I was quite sick for a few weeks, I survived and am now into my second trimester. We are going to leave the gender of our new little one a surprise to all...even us!

Then Andrew finished the semester of school and since he isn't going to take any classes during the summer, we have been able to spend more time as a family. The day he took his last final we rode the new frontrunner commuter rail from Ogden to Salt Lake and went to the Gateway and saw the Dr. Seuss movie, Horton Hears a Who! That was so much fun and then we went to dinner. The kids were completely worn out by the time we got back on the train, and Abbey fell asleep shortly after we pulled out of the station!

Then just last week we were able to go on our first family vacation. We went to a week long trip to California. We got to stay at a beach house on Sunset Beach, which is just south of Long Beach. We spent lots of time on the beach, we spent a day in L.A. and we were able to go to Knotts Berry Farm, and Disneyland! It is such a fun thing to do anyways, but it was so much more fun with kids. We were all worn out by the time we got home, but we miss it and would love to go back to that beautiful weather rather then the rainy, cold weather we have had since being back! Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Wonderful Weekend

What a wonderful weekend! Ours was wonderful for a number of reasons! It started out wonderful on Friday, as Andrew took off work so we could attend our mission reunion! How fun it was to see so many old friends and be reunited with our wonderful mission pres, and his wife! We had a special opportunity to spend some extra time with some peticular friends we haven't seen in a while! Thanks to Karrie and Ben for the fun time we had! And our kids are still talking about it! (Ammon still gets a smile when we mention Hannah.) And then to be able to hear the words from our church leaders during conference! I especially took to heart the talk that was given by Elder M. Russell Ballard, and how he focused his thoughts on young mothers and families. It is such a blessing to me to be able to stay at home and teach and spend time with my kids. It was just a good reminder, that although the days sometimes are not what we would like them to be, we as moms, really are doing the most important work. The Lord sees and knows us and He is pleased with our decisions.

When Mommy's not looking!

So I must preface this by saying that my two kids are SO different! I mean not only the fact that they are different gender, but in every way they are total opposite! So this actually happened a week ago, but I am just getting to posting it now. I was in the shower getting ready for the day when the kids came running in about something, and I thought I could smell baby powder. So I said to Ammon, "have you been in the powder?" And of course he says "No, but Abbey has." She of course wouldn't come all the way in the bathroom, so when I got out I went and looked and sure enough, she had emptied the entire thing. At first I was kind of upset, but then realized that I needed to take the responsibility since I left it where she could get it.....Then as I looked around some more I realized she hadn't done it JUST to make a mess....she was taking good care of her babies! Then I really just had to laugh and tell her she was being a good mommy! Now to tie it all in with what I said about my kids being so different.....Ammon would have, and still never would do something like that! Go figure!

Happy Birthday Abigail!!!

My sweet Abbey turns 2 years old today and I can't believe it!!! Time flys by unbelievably fast, but then again I have to remind myself that she is only 2. She does so much for herself already and she seems to be miles ahead of where Ammon was when he turned 2. So happy birthday Abbey...I love you!

Weekend at Grandma and Grandpas!

Ok, so it wasn't the whole weekend, but it was SO enjoyable. On Friday, we went up to Logan which is about 1 hour from where we live, to stay with my parents for the night. Why? Well, two reasons really.....The first was that we were going to go to my nieces baptism the next morning and if we rode with my parents we wouldn't have to leave as early and I wouldn't have to drive alone in a possible storm. The second reason being that Andrew went to the doctor for the first time since we have been married and tested positive for influenza A, so he was VERY sick and we didn't want to get it! But the whole reason for this post is because I was reminded that the kids really get away with a lot more when we are visiting grandma and grandpa and they end up doing stuff that I would never let slide here at home. I hope that everyone enjoys the pictures as much as I did!

What A Day......

So have you ever had that kind of a day where things are going wrong but the only thing you can do in the end is shrug your shoulders and laugh? Well, here it is only 2:45 in the afternoon, and that is how our day has been. We woke up to a HUGE snow storm. For those of you that do not live in Utah....

So on these days the kids and I do not go anywhere, but unfortunately, Andrew still must go to school and work. So, after school, a friend of his was headed to our place to pick him up and take him to work. Well, because of the massive amount of snow that had accumulated and had been plowed, he bot stuck right at the end of our driveway. In the effort of myself, Matt, and a passer by we were able to get it unstuck, but not before causing an accident between two other cars. Nothing major, but still an accident. Then in the attempt of Andrew to get our car into our driveway, it got stuck twice. And now the final resting place until we figure out what to do, our car is in the middle of our driveway. Now the one thing I have failed to mention is that I was outside for about 30-40 minutes, while the kids were inside....alone. When I finally checked on them, they were much too happy and this is what I found.....

Yes this is my computer, and the keys that go on it. It is completely my fault. I was in such a rush to get outside, that I didn't shut my computer when I left it. It was such a mess, but luckily we had all the pieces and I was able to get it all put back together. WHAT A DAY!!!
