I love Autumn!

It is that time once again to clean up the yard and get the leaves raked before winter arrives. We aren't saddened one bit by the fact that this will be our last BIG outside project in this adventure that we have called home for the last year. As, Andrew and I worked hard trying to get so many of the leaves raked, (this is only about 1/4 of what we will have to rake), we decided to capture the great time the kids were having in it all. And of course, we got tired long before they did.

My Big Helper

So, the other day I had gone downstairs to do some laundry and when I came back up, this is what I saw. Abigail had started doing my sweeping for me. She is such a big helper. Last week she had gotten one of her wipes and had started "mopping" the floor for me. Gotta love it!

Waiting Up For Daddy!

So, I have started a small tradition I guess you could say.....Since Andrew is back in school, and gone all the time, the kids don't get to see him as much or spend as much time with him. So, on Friday nights I have decided to let them stay up until he gets home from work. Sometimes it's not too late, but other times it's pushing 2 hours past their bedtime. We watch a movie, which is really Ammons thing, and Abbey and I paint our finger nails! It has turned out to be a fun thing to do, and a great way to spend time with the kids! By the way, did I mention that they are best friends?

Ok, so just a week and a half ago, we went out to mow our lawn for the last time and I dressed the kids up warm and they were playing hard and having fun, and it wasn't until we got inside that I realized they were freezing! Abbeys hands were just like little ice cubes and Ammons cheeks were all rosy. So maybe it isn't warm enough to still be playing outside?

So, Ammon started school a few weeks ago and this pic is of his first day of school. He is doing awesome! He learns a new song every couple of weeks, a new letter each day he goes, and he has made new friends. he feels like such a big boy going to school just like daddy. The top pic is of Abbey on a day she didn't get a nap and she fell asleep during dinner!!!!!!!

Ok, so I have finally decided to do the whole blogspot thing, on account of so many people I know doing it and clearly it just looks fun. Bear with me as I learn how it works and get used to posting regular blogs.
