What A Day......

So have you ever had that kind of a day where things are going wrong but the only thing you can do in the end is shrug your shoulders and laugh? Well, here it is only 2:45 in the afternoon, and that is how our day has been. We woke up to a HUGE snow storm. For those of you that do not live in Utah....

So on these days the kids and I do not go anywhere, but unfortunately, Andrew still must go to school and work. So, after school, a friend of his was headed to our place to pick him up and take him to work. Well, because of the massive amount of snow that had accumulated and had been plowed, he bot stuck right at the end of our driveway. In the effort of myself, Matt, and a passer by we were able to get it unstuck, but not before causing an accident between two other cars. Nothing major, but still an accident. Then in the attempt of Andrew to get our car into our driveway, it got stuck twice. And now the final resting place until we figure out what to do, our car is in the middle of our driveway. Now the one thing I have failed to mention is that I was outside for about 30-40 minutes, while the kids were inside....alone. When I finally checked on them, they were much too happy and this is what I found.....

Yes this is my computer, and the keys that go on it. It is completely my fault. I was in such a rush to get outside, that I didn't shut my computer when I left it. It was such a mess, but luckily we had all the pieces and I was able to get it all put back together. WHAT A DAY!!!

Happy New Year!

Happy new year to everyone out there reading my blog! Mine sure has started out well, and I have blessings to be thankful for as we venture on to some new experiences in our lives. One of the many things I am so thankful for is my wonderful family, both mine and my husbands extended families, and our own little family. I, as I'm sure many of you have, have made some resolutions this year that I hope will stick and my ultimate goal is to better myself and my family so that we can be better physically, and spiritually. It makes it difficult sometimes for Family Home Evening, and scripture study as a family since Andrew works evenings, but I have made it a goal to have FHE with the kids every Monday night and try reading the Book of Mormon with them and help them understand some of the great teachings and stories that it contains. I too am trying to be healthier and in turn trying to be an influence on my kids to eat healthier and want to continue being active! So happy new year to all of you, and many blessings to you on sticking to your resolutions this year.

A little late....

We have been busy tring to get a lot of things done before Andrew started school again, so I didn't take the time to post on Christmas and New Years. We had such a fun Christmas and the kids got plenty of gifts to keep them occupied and having a fun time for quite some time I wouls think. On Christmas Eve we always go over to Andrew's parents house for a HUGE feast. This year the broccoli cheese soup was left out and we still had enough left overs for Christmas day. Ammon didn't wake up until 6:50, and then we had to wake up Abigail at 7:15 because Ammon just couldn't wait any longer. The kids were at such a fun age this time around. Ammon was much more aware of what was happening and Abbey was SO excited because brother was. And on Christmas day we got visits from both sets of grandparents and that really made the day complete. Then on the 28th we got together with my family....we always do our family get together after christmas and it is so much fun. We go sledding, eat soup, and then all the grandkids get to open their pajamas from grandma and grandpa. This is when some wonderful memories are made.
